Priorities

Building on Our Success

Garland ISD has momentum. Bryan's job on the board is to protect it and build on it, for every student, school, family and neighborhood.

Students

Prepared for the Future

Every GISD student should graduate ready for what comes next: college, a career, the military, or any productive path they choose.

  • Expand access to dual credit, associate degrees and career and technical certifications, like the ones Bryan's own children earned at Lakeview Centennial
  • Protect specialized programs such as agricultural education and FFA, and support the educators who keep them running
  • Connect more students with mentors, college readiness and leadership opportunities

Stewardship

Smart Investments for Stronger Schools

Garland ISD must remain a responsible steward of community trust, and every dollar should support student success.

  • Chaired the 2023 Garland ISD Bond Steering Committee for a $1.3 billion investment in school facilities, safety and learning. Voters approved it
  • Chaired the Vote Yes Garland ISD PAC for 2025's Proposition A, protecting educational programs and school jobs. Voters approved it
  • Helped raise more than $200,000 across both campaigns, and will make sure bond dollars deliver what voters were promised

A Stronger Community for Every Student

Strong schools and strong communities depend on one another. Progress happens when families, educators, businesses and community leaders work together.

  • More than 30 years serving PTOs, booster clubs, youth sports, Scouting America and the Garland Education Foundation Board
  • Bring families, teachers and local partners to the table on decisions that affect their schools
  • Listen first, make informed decisions and stay accountable to the people he serves
